Ireland and the Imagine Cup

In the past few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to sit in on several presentations to colleges and universities in Northern Ireland about this year’s Imagine Cup. The winners will go to Paris from July 3^rd – 8^th 2008, all expenses paid, to compete in the World Finals. There are nine competing categories with special attention in Ireland to the Software Design competition. There will be an all island competition in this category with the winner(s) getting an automatic invite and entry into the World finals. There has already been almost 200 Irish entries .

The nine categories in the competition are:

·         Software Design  

·         Embedded Development

·         Game Development

·         Project Hoshimi

·         IT Challenge

·         Algorithm

·         Photography

·         Short Film

·         Interface Design

So make sure you go to the Imagine Cup site and get you or your team registered.
